No Charge

No Charge

We argued about spring beginning
on the first of February, or in March,
around the equinox. I didn’t care
either way, content to appreciate
the noticeable glint on my morning
horizon a little earlier each day.

Colours change, a new green
steps onto a brighter stage, shoots
push through and strive towards the
light. There’s knowledge about, passed
on year by year, that signals
to all who make the effort to look that
the time is right – the opportunity is
here – to turn life’s page onto a
new chapter – a fresh beginning.

Each day – everyday,
a little more is revealed,
moment by moment – looking for an
audience, doors open to all comers. All
we have to do is allow its beauty
into our hearts, our souls, our lives.

By the middle of March our days will
be flush with the majesty of
blooms, fragrant and inviting.
Just look, smell, feel, live.
It’s there for you, no charge.

Sorry to hear that, Carol. We’ve had such a mild past few weeks. I just noticed today how our clematis plants have started leafing. I’m so happy about that as I only put them down last year. Thanks for reading and commenting. 😉
